Discussion of 3rd Quarter Meeting Minutes:

• In the previous minutes we stated that there must be approval from the board to build sheds or other permanent structures. Just a reminder that the verbiage is located on page 20 – Section 16 (p) of the by-laws. Please ensure you contact the Board when purchasing a shed or erecting any type of structure, fence or pool.

• Dues – all outstanding dues will be reconciled within 30 days of the meeting. Both homeowners listed in the previous minutes have made contact with the Board to resolve their outstanding 2008 payments.

• We revisited the suggestion of a sign being put up at the entrance to our walking paths. It was clarified that the purpose of these signs was misconstrued after the last minutes were posted. The homeowner would like to apologize for any mis-understanding that resulted, specifically with regard to the residents of Hillendale who are always welcomed in our neighborhood. The intent of the sign suggestion was to remind all fellow neighbors to curb their dogs at all times and respect the property of others. We will begin to look into the pricing of small, neutral colored signs to be placed at the entrance of the paths only to remind neighbors to curb their dogs. It was also suggested that we place a sign at the entrance to Mountaintop Drive stating that there is no soliciting in Skippack Ridge. There were many complaints of non-residents going door-to-door to sell newspapers, Verizon services, etc. The cost and decision to place signs will be further discussed at the next meeting.

• As a result of the 3Q minutes, a few homeowners suggested that we hire a management company to handle our finances and eliminate the need for a Board. We researched pricing and services from a few companies, and everyone agreed at the meeting that it is not in the best interest of this neighborhood. It could raise our dues as much as $1000, and our community would lose all control over reoccurring rising dues for reasons seen fit by the management company.

Landscaping Update:

• Satiro will not be contracted to return next year. Overall, the Board and several homeowners were not pleased with their service. We are beginning to get quotes from other companies for next year, and we will check other properties they maintain before entering into an agreement. Please contact the Board if you know of any good landscape companies, or know of a neighborhood with common grounds that uses a landscaper we should look into.

Miscellaneous Topics:

• Here is the Skippack Ridge online Directory. Please take a look and verify your information. If you are not currently listed and would like to be added, need to like to change any of your informatation, or add your email address, please contact Bill at webmaster@skippackridge.com. That will allow all residents to print out the directory from the website or check it when they need to contact a neighbor.

• There has been more vandalism in Skippack Ridge and Hillendale. There have been several broken car windows and this same time last year there were several incidents as well. As a preventative measure, please remember to replace any burnt out light bulbs in your lanterns by the sidewalk. These act as our streetlights, and will help to light the neighborhood. In addition, leaving your house lights on overnight the week of Halloween would also brighten up the neighborhood and prevent potential vandals.

• There were also concerns over unidentified people and cars in the parking lot on Buck Hollow Road. Because of the vandalism, please pay extra attention to any car or person you may see that you are not familiar with.

** Please note that the topics listed in these minutes are only a summary of what was discussed at the meeting. The actual discussion took approximately 90 minutes. All Skippack Ridge residents are encouraged to attend the quarterly meetings, and we welcome any feedback you may have. If you have a suggestion or comment for the next meeting or questions about anything that was mentioned in these minutes, please contact the Board at board@skippackridge.com or attend the next meeting.
